WHAT IS THE OIP?
- The International Press Office (OIP) is an entity organized by the Asociación de Periodistas de Navarra, with sponorship by the Government of Navarra and the Town Hall of Pamplona.
· The OIP began as a private initiative in the year 2000, and is in charge of helping journalists and photojournalists with services they require to carry out their work during Sanfermines. These professionals come from around the world and from all parts of Spain during the days previous to the fiesta, with their number increasing as the nine days go by.
WHAT DOES THE OIP DO?
Throughout these years, the OIP has worked with journalists during the fiesta of San Fermín in many different ways. The OIP staff helps professionals to collect their accreditations for the “Chupinazo“, the Running of the Bulls or “Encierros” and the final act of “Pobre de Mí“. There is a news room/area where journalists can cover their stories, also the OIP helps find spaces , interesting people to interview, access to events and needs of a more personal nature.
During the fiesta, the OIP will be posting information such as regular updates about casualties on the “Encierro”, medical reports, general interest features and more, both in English, Spanish and Euskera, on this same website and on networks such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
