The encierros of 2012 were followed on TVE by 1,651,000 spectators with a screen quota of 72.7%. These are the third highest figures in its history. A total of 4,592,000 people watched some of the encierros on TVE in 2012.
On Saturday, July 14, members of the jury of the Casa de Misericordia of Pamplona awarded its own prizes to bull fighting ranches.
A total of 421 people were accredited to cover some of the encierros in 2012 – the same number as last year. These professionals worked for 147 media – three more than in 2011 – to carry imagens of Sanfermines throughout the world.
A total of 1,532,000 people participated in some of the 431 acts programmed for San Fermín 2012 – a figure that is similar to that of last year. According to the Mayor of Pamplona, Enrique Maya, these fiestas have been characterized by their festive atmosphere
