Extremely fast encierro with Victoriano del Río bulls on July 12th
The bulls from the ranch Victoriano del Rio (Madrid) ran the encierro on July 12 in 2.20 minutes. This sixth encierro was the fastest running of the bulls so far. There were only six injured with contusions and traumas taken to hospitals.
The herd left the corrals together and at a great speed, causing numerous falls and small pile-ups of runners all along the route.
In Santo Domingo a chestnut-colored bull and a reddish-colored one turned back towards the left, creating the first minutes of of tension of the encierro. They soon reached the heard and continued to run together,
Three bulls took the lead, and at the curve of Estafeta, slid with no major consequences. The herd regrouped, but then separated as they ran through the street, permitting beautiful runs.
Two bulls went on ahead and the another two, behind. They entered the ring in 2.20 seconds, the fastest encierro so far and with no gorings to report.
