Extremely dangerous Encierro on July 12 with El Pilar Bulls
For the first time in these Sanfermines, there were gorings in the encierro of El Pilar bulls. The first medical report was of three gorings, one horn jab, and other runners were taken to hospitals for traumas.
In the sixth encierro Sanfermines, the oxen sped out of the corrals ahead of the bulls. At the end of the Santo Domingo, one of the El Pilars ran ahead of the herd, causing moments of danger and tension, and the first bull wound.
A black bull also became separated from the rest, provoking panic in Estafeta Street. While many of the spectators watched with horror, the bull threw a young man into the air and tried its best to finish him when the runner hit the ground. The herdsmen and other runners tried unsuccessfully to distract the animal, who finally was pulled by his legs under the barrier. The bull continued on along the route.
The same bull caused another horn wound in the encierro in the telefonica stretch. The bull entered the plaza in an incierro of 4.57 minutes.
