Revólver, final concert on July 13
The band, Revólver, will put an end on July 13 to the series of concerts sponsored by Cadena 100 and DB Technologies. Led by Carlos Goñi for the last 25 years, the band will be on stage in the Plaza del Castillo at midnight, playing many of their well-known songs.
Formed in Valencia in 1988, the group brought out its first record, “Revólver” in 1990, but it did not become known on the national scene until “Básico” in 1993 when Carlos Goñi took over the group and hired different musicians for each tour or record. Songs such as “Si es tan sólo amor” or “El roce de tu piel” became very popular, making the album one of the best hits of Spanish pop. Later would come “El Dorado” influenced by the music of Bruce Springsteen.
After disappearing for three years in which he created his own record company, Nena Records, and his own recording studios, “Sur” was put on sale as well as “8:30 am”, “Rarezas” and “Grandes “Exitos”. “Mestizo” marked a change to hard rock, and in 2008, “21 gramos” was brought out as well as “Qué veinte años no es nada”, a summary of his 20 years as a musician with four CDs and containing new songs such as “La Carretera!, considered one of his best. En 2011 he traveled to Marrakech where he recorded “Argán” with his habitual musicians.
