Music stars in Safermines 2015
Music will be one of the grand protagonistas of Sanfermines 2015. The official municipal programme for this year lists 459 activities throughout the city, including more bands of “gaiteros” following the “Chupinazo”, more time for children to spend with the Giants, theatre in the street, and spectacular fireworks among other events.
Only five days remain until Sanfermines, and the Town Hall has published its official programme. A total of 459 activities are planned for the fiesta. Concerts and other musical events will fill the air of Pamplona for eight days, making up 71.4% of these 459 activities and eliminating certain institutional acts.
Following the launch of the rocket announcing the beginning of the fiesta, several bands of “gaiteros” will entertain the mass of people gathered in the square in front of the Town Hall. Then these bands will march through the streets of the old section of Pamplona.
There will be 82 activities for families and children. Every day the giants and their entourage will delight everyone, young and old as they have done for many years. Later in the evening the “toro de fuego” or the fire bull chases the little ones in a mini, harmless “encierro”. At the end of the fiesta, as a novelty, the goodbye of the giants will be special and with more interaction with the children. In addition to the traditional dance, children and giants will participate in a type of theatre act.
Fireworks will be launched in such a way that they follow the walls of Pamplona along with flying fireworks as a novelty.
The Sanfermines programme is available in bookstores, in the Oficina de Información y Turismo and in the Tómbola. The Programme can also be read in smartphones with a mobile ap read with the code QR.
